If you're looking for a mountain that has the charm of Whistler village but want to avoid the crowds, Silver Star is a great alternative. It features 132 trails and of course, friendly Canadians. It's perfect for beginners but also has a few backside black diamonds and tree runs for those looking for a challenge.
If you're coming from the US, you'll fly into the Kelowna airport (YLW). It's about a 55 minute drive to get to Silver Star from the airport but they do offer a shuttle. Grab your passport and get ready for the POWDER.
